Jordan was amazing as she scurried around and helped make it all happen.
9 little girls came to her party.
As they arrived, they went to "Fashion Design School" and used pencils to color Barbie's outfits.
The girls did an activity where I let them choose which Barbie they wanted to be...
dressed them up from Barbie's suitcase, and took their picture!

Vivi's friend, Faith had a party themed outfit on!
Then they visited the Salon!
Aunt Beth did nails, makeup, and glitter spray.
Jordan worked a makeup table too!
The adult ladies snacked on red pepper hummus with wheat pretzel sticks and veggies, cashews and trail mix, fruit, strawberry bread, and water.
The water was really cute! :)
The little ladies feasted on a pink candy buffet...and as though that wasn't enough sugar...
Cupcakes, of course!

Fruit, strawberry shortcake pinwheels, and raspberry sherbet.

Billy's sister and I decorated zebra striped high heal cookies!
Hobby Lobby had the cutest cookie cutters, this one included. That is also where I got most of my zebra supplies including the fabric and ribbon to make the table runner!
Singing "Happy Birthday"
Blowing out FOUR candles! How can it be?

The table also had big pink marshmallows and cherry dipped pretzels.
They drank cherry 7-Up in their personalized mugs.
To burn off all that sugar we had a dance party with bags of balloons falling on the girls while they jumped around to "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" and the Chippettes singing "All The Single Ladies". They loved this part!

Then we settled into a circle in the party room and played "Barbie is Going On a Roadtrip" , in the spirit of "hot potato" where I passed around a small Barbie bag filled with everything Barbie would need to take on her trip (pink gloves, jewelry, cell phone, hair dryer, hair bows, shoes, etc.) and when the music stopped, the girl holding the bag had to take one item out of the luggage and could put it on. Then when the luggage was empty, the girl with the most items won a Barbie doll. All the girls got to pull something out, which was good and my niece won with 4 of Barbie's travel items!
The game was a hit!
Then Vivi opened presents.

She was so happy for all the Barbie toys!

Vivi's friend, Faith had a party themed outfit on!Fruit, strawberry shortcake pinwheels, and raspberry sherbet.

Happy birthday Vivi - what a fun party! Love the decorations and the food, totally cute!
I am awestruck. You need to be a party planner. I think I will be coming to you for Natalie's party ideas. That looked absolutely amazing! Way to go.....now go rest=)
You have too much time on your hands. Just kidding! How will you top that party? Does Vivi's friends throw wild parties like that? Did your family give big parties? I am not much into parties. Maybe it's because my family didn't make a big deal out of them. Or it could be that my sons are getting too old and it's no longer something I enjoy as much because they are getting too old! :)
OMG!!! Lauri this was tooo cute! I can't even believe it, I mean I can believe it, because I know you are creative. I am sure this is one birthday ViVi and her friends won't soon forget.
P.S. Can you help me with Levi's party? LOL It's in September and I am already thinking about it!
Thank you all! I am going to do a portfolio of this party and Isaac's carnival party just in case party planning is part of my future. ;)
And as far as time...I am a stay at home mom for this reason and many, many others. But with 3 kids-I don't have a lot of time- I focus where it is needed at the moment.
My sister throws awesome parties too- I call us "the party peeps" because we LOVE kids parties, and no we did not grow up with big shindigs past about 5 years old. I hope to always do nice parties for my kids. "Gifts" is my love language and this is a big gift that blesses our whole family!
LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Laurie, I see you making a job out of these party skills! Seriously! So cute - I want you to decorate for MY birthday party! What kind of theme do you envision for a 28-year-old? HA! Looks like all the girls had so much fun!
dude will you plan my 16th birthday?
Oh my goodness! It's official...you are party guru extraordinaire!!! I am SO floored by all the very specific and thoughtful details you put into each part of the party! I prayed Vivi had SO much fun and was super encouraged...I have a sneaking suspicion that she was!!!
AMAZING! I am amazed. I am NOT gifted in this area. I am great at coming up with things on the fly, but the planning you put into that blows. me. away.
My 3 year-old god-daughter is obsessed with a book called "Pinkalicious." That party would definitely fit that description.
Way to go, Mom!
Blessings!
Hannah
Fantastic party! Wow -- so great - looks like Vivi and her friends had a wonderful time.
I like that you said 'gifts' is your love language. Mine too which is why I'm loving being home this year and really able to plan a party with more details for my girl. Something about having that extra time between wiping noses that makes parties just more.
Love the party. The game is a great idea. And all the little details are amazing.
I would like this party now...and I am going to be 31! lol Very cool!
Oh my gosh, Laurie, this is incredible!! Your kids will always have such wonderful memories. What an incredible mom you are!! Laurie, you will have to come over and see Hannah's Zebra and Polka Dot room!!!
Please tell sweet Vivi, belated Happy Birthday! Wow 4, I met her at 18 months old! Still as precious as can be! You are very blessed!!
